{The Big Secret Update}

...so a lot of you people noticed at the end of that baby video (by the way, I am gonna make a huge assumption here that "baby" is going to completely take over this blog. So sorry.) that Todd and I have a bit of difference on when to tell everyone the big news. We told the kids way back in January when I was a whole whopping 5 weeks pregnant because I was starting to feel so sick. yippee.

Now, Todd would love to shout from mountain tops the second I'm done with the "tinkle stick" (if you know what I mean.) Such a proud daddy. I would rather not tell anybody. Ever. It's not that I don't want you to know, I just really don't like to be the one saying it. Don't ask me why. It's an age old question and four pregnancies tried and true. I must have issues. It drives Todd nutty.

Any who, just as he planned we went and told my parents that same day, called Todd's on the phone, and I think all our siblings knew within a day or two. We made Louis tell them, "We're turning the exercise room into a baby room!" The girls were pretty good about not saying anything to friends, Louis never sees anybody but the two little girls I babysit and their mommy is expecting too, so they totally didn't care. We were in isolation for so long because of the sickies (that's a whole new experience now that you know all the deets. EVERY time one of those kids puked, I. did. too. AWFUL!) so we didn't go to church for 3 weeks. I'm honestly surprised how long it stayed quiet. Or, all my neighbors are super nice and didn't say anything until they heard it from me. That's what I do.

Todd finally let the cat out of the bag on Facebook so I figured, eh, why not? That video is priceless.

So there ya go. No more little secrets!

I get weekly emails from babycenter.com that the girls just love. Their favorite is when it tells how big the baby is compared to a fruit. It's so cleverly called "From Poppy Seed to Pumpkin" can't wait for the pumpkin part. ugh.
This week? Kumquat.
Caroline was reading it last week with her daddy, then came running upstairs, "Mom, mom, MOM! I know where my bellybutton came from!"
Me, "Oh yeah, where?"
Caroline, "My.... extension... tube...?"

Hooray! So excited! And Louis is stinkin' hilarious in that video, as is the part at the end where you and Todd argue about how much of a "secret" this all still is!

That is awesome. I am happy for you and I like to hear about it vicariously since I am glad I am not pregnant this summer. I was last summer. I get this one off! I want to hear all about it!
