Even the girls got all excited... for awhile. Now Elizabeth is famous for saying, "That's really cute, but it looks like it would hurt!" which immediately makes me have to choke back the old "No pain, no gain" remark. I haven't even called her a party pooper (out loud).
Anywho, I digress. Here's a few of our favorite new fun hairdos. I love to get ideas off of blogs or things I see, then make them our own. Just thought I'd share since these first two would be perfect for Valentine's day tomorrow: (Both of those other blogs have TONS of other cute heart ideas on them too, so check them out!)
I had to adapt this one a little. The short hair version:
...and the long hair version! She totally needs ribbons or flowers, but I didn't want to hide too much so you can see how I did it. Just do a backwards loopy-do (tiny ponytail parted, then pulled through). Divide the two sides and braid for as big as a heart you want!
This one I saw at church and fell. in. love. So cute to leave the back of the hair down, or pull it into piggy tails! I just do the first row of tiny pony tails, add the headband, then finish up with the second row. Caroline asks for it almost every day, and she loves all the compliments she gets!

And since Elizabeth got to have crazy hair, Caroline wanted it too. This was her very own idea. Tiny "crazy buns" with a bow.
Elizabeth has less patience, but more hair to play with -- go figure. I did this one really fast before school today. Just your regular looped pony tail, but I pulled the ends up and around the elastic and curled them out. Add a flower, and it's ADORABLE! She calls this one "Crazy Peacock Do." Perhaps she should not be in charge of the official naming...

A-DOOR-A-BULL!!!!!!!!!
i'm deadly jealous that your nimble wee fingers can do all that... my chubby sausage hands massacre cute hair... poor Ava is doomed to a life of crap-hair. Not literally "crap"... you know.
Happy Valentines Day!!!!
Ummm.. you should be a hairdresser! Those are so super cute!!!
adorable! I did a big heart for Jenna's hair today--and it was so fun! I love the little ones too though! SO CUTE!
I don't have a favorite...I have browsed here and there, but nothing set. I will have to bookmark those though...they clearly are winners! :)
"Beauty like this don't just happen, beauty like this take time!"
Adorable. A. dor. a. ble.
Although I pity the kid who sits behind Elizabeth with those flowery pig tails because he'll never see the blackboard. :)
I am so jealous. Kathleen won't let me do her hair. Now she won't even let me brush it. She likes to do it herself and tells me she has better "style" than I do. We have agreed that if I do it fast, I can do it on Sundays. I guess you have to pick your battles.
You really are the worlds best mommy!
So cute! You have inspired me. I get so frustrated with hair...never know what to do with it. Not to mention my Elizabeth won't sit still long enough for me to comb it. But I am going to give it a try today!
Just so you know, it's NOT as easy as you make it look! Sweet juice of nectarine! You make that look like it's as easy as making a pony tail! "Just do a backwards loopdeloop braid to the 3rd of the 16th over to the back and split it and make a turndesipaloo and whala!" That's how I interpret hair talk. What I'm really saying is that you have a gift with hair and your girls are so lucky! Their hair looks amazing! I LOVE the hearts!
Hey such cute hair, I also love to give Aidyn Grace little fun hairdos, we check out babes in hairland blog and then link to others from there.
So cute Alynn! I'm going to have to get some tips from you when Noel gets enough hair! Hers is so thin and whispy right now and always looks like she stuck her finger in a light socket! :)
Those are all so cute!!! You did such a good job!! I will have to check out the blog too thanks!!
Thank you for your post. I've been looking for ideas to do my girls hair. One day I looked online for books, but didn't find anything. I'm glad you found those places, I will totally try them! Love ya!
