{Happy Birthday Fluffy!}

This is the face of a happy birthday boy. He got everything he wanted. His mama's BBQ pulled pork, a German chocolate cake, and fancy new cowboy boots. Very fancy, very nice, very shiny cowboy boots. Now we're a matched set!

The girls found all of grandma's old cake decorations and picked out all the things they thought Todd would like. Balloons, stars, flags, sunbathing Garfield, fish, and tiny Mountain Dew bottles make for a very charming cake.

A big shout out to Paige who organized the family talent show. Who knew we were so chuck full of amazing skills?! There were front flips, summer salts, sign language, Latin chants, dance-offs, poems, songs, and piano playing and more. What more could a birthday boy ask for?

Happy Birthday Todd! We love you!

{Rare}

Me: ACK! What are you?!?
Bubba Smurf: A dog.

Me: Really.... What kind of dog?
Bubba Smurf: A rare dog that... um... never ever tells anyone what it is.
Glad we got that all sorted out.
Don't worry. I still made sure it got it's homework done.

{3 important things to make a note of today}

# 1: I can see grass. GRASS! An actual tiny, brown, matted, muddy, beautiful patch of grass in my front yard. ***cheering***

#2: I washed, folded, and put away all my laundry. In. one. day!

#3: Louis and Caroline were brushing their teeth together this morning when Lou brought me his toothbrush for "my turn." He was very foamy, which I attributed to a larger than normal amount of toothpaste. This was incorrect. After my very thorough brushing, Caroline decided it would then be a good time to inform me that Louis had used hand soap instead of toothpaste as his tooth-cleaner of choice this morning. Louis then stated very matter-of-factly, "It's yucky. I don't like it."
